About Yasmeen
Hello, I'm Yasmeen Rafiq, Clinical Director and Owner of Meaningful Connections.
Here at Meaningful Connections, we help couples and individuals deal with unhealthy relationships, fights, and community conflict. Our goal is to help you stop emotional disconnection with your partners. We want you to feel more emotionally connected in your significant relationship, able to manage your stress and anxiety and live the life of your dreams.
Let’s Discover How We Can Help
Life can feel overwhelming when you are struggling in your relationships, living with ADHD, managing anxiety, or supporting the needs of others while neglecting your own. You may feel exhausted, disconnected, misunderstood, or stuck in patterns that are difficult to change.
Therapy offers a space where you can feel supported, understood, and empowered to move forward.
Together, we will help you strengthen your relationships, better manage stress and emotions, and develop practical tools to navigate life with greater confidence and balance. We support individuals, couples, and caregivers through challenges related to relationships, ADHD, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions.
Whether you are trying to better understand yourself, improve your relationships, or find support through caregiving, you do not have to do it alone.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
Your therapy sessions are tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. We provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can openly express yourself, feel heard, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy — our work together is designed to support you in the way that feels most helpful and meaningful for your journey.
As A Practice, We Embrace The Following Values
You deserve to feel safe, supported, and emotionally connected in your relationships.
Healing happens when emotions are heard, understood, and validated.
ADHD and caregiving challenges deserve compassion, support, and practical tools — not judgment.
Meaningful change is possible, even when life feels overwhelming.
Therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, connection, and growth.
Yasmeen’s Journey To Opening Meaningful Connections
I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I'm human. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.
As a mom of three kids and a partner in an interracial marriage, I have had my fair share of struggles on the therapist's couch. There are many issues facing couples and individuals, including cultural differences, marital problems, and intimacy issues. Through starting a private practice and providing therapy, I am dedicated to genuinely giving back to others and I am passionate about diversity and inclusion.
